Exciting news! The committee has organised for a replacement of all the single mattresses and bases across the lodge with high quality, commercial grade, supportive, comfortable and best of all Australian made mattresses and bases from Makin Mattresses. It may be with a touch of sadness as our current beds have done us so very well over the many years but it is time to upgrade. As many know the wooden bases are much smaller than a standard single size so in order to get new mattresses that were not at exorbitant made-to-measure prices the bases will be replaced too.
This will happen the weekend of 8-10 December so if you would love to be part of that work party to remove the old and install the new please contact our Logistics Officer Nicole Wade on logistics@gunumalodge.com.au There will also be other work party activities undertaken, including mowing lawns, so if that is your favourite task then please come along to help.
If any member or members family or friends would like one or more of the old mattresses and bases for FREE please contact Nicole. They would need to be self-collected from the lodge in the weeks leading up to 9/10 December. Sorry we cannot deliver.
Another important change to note with the new beds will be sheet sizes. They will still take standard Single sheets however for those who like to push the beds together you will need a KING fitted sheet rather than a queen.
