The ski season started with a bang. Rain and warm weather has washed away some of the best snow snow, but more is hopefully on on the way.
COVID-19
There is a new COVID-19 safe plan on the Gunuma web site that reflects the current Government and community approach to living with COVID-19.
We have already had guest with COVID-19 and it is likely that we will have more. A reminder that members and their guests wishing to stay at Gunuma should assess their own risk factors and whether or not they want to live in a communal environment.
If you have a booking and show any COVID-19 symptoms, please cancel. The refund policy has been amended to give refunds for COVID-19 cancellations.
The plan requires quests to bring RATs with them so that they can self-test if they believe that the may have contracted COVID-19 while staying at Gunuma.
Without diminishing the importance of good hygiene, it is now accepted that COVID is predominantly spread via aerosol.
Work Party
A post ski season work party will be held from 4-6 November to re-stock the lodge for the summer, determine the work required over summer / autumn and carry out maintenance.
Work parties are essential to keeping fees as low as possible and keep Gunuma in good working order. Please contact Stephan if you want to attend.
General Information
There have been reports that some power points are not working. The power points that the heaters in the rooms and the power point that the heater in the lounge room use are controlled by the adjacent thermostat. This means if the room is above the wall mounted thermostat temperature the power point will not have any power on it. Please do not use these power points for anything other than the heater.
